Saharan agents for SRB Split Roller Bearings,
a division of Revolvo. We are a company
that is focused on the supply of Split Bearings and
as such we are the only true specialists within the
niche Split Bearing industry
Superior Product with Superior Service
OE Bearings was founded in 1998, with the aim of competing
with Cooper Split Bearings who until that time held
a monopoly of the world market prior to the SRB product
being developed.
The SRB product was developed in the UK with a number
of advantages over other split bearings - notably higher
capacities, stronger cast iron and a brass cage as standard.
From humble beginnings, we have built on these advantages
coupled with very high service we have steadily grown
to become the market leader in the Split Bearing industry
in Southern Africa.
We have established a company with a proven reputation,
good track record with a broad customer base and vendor
numbers with all industries and end users. We are situated
in Selby Johannesburg from where we service our customer
base.
Our staff are experienced professionals in the Split
Bearing industry. Warwick Steinhobel, the MD and founder
of the business, has more than 25 years experience in
the bearing industry with 20 years specialising on the
split bearing niche market. Our family at OE Bearings
has a combined total of 70 years experience in the bearing
industry. All staff members are shareholders, having
a vested interest in the success of the company and
are empowered to make decisions. We are on call 24 hours
a day 7 days a week all year round.
BEE Status
In terms of social responsibility we are a top performer
in the area of transformation and have been awarded
a Level Four Contributor status in terms of the Broad-Based
BEE Scorecard by an independent verification agency.
This allows our customers to recognize 110% of procurement
spend through their purchases made from OE Bearings.

life, split bearings are suited across all industries
We supply to the existing split bearing market, however
the majority of our business is to customers that are
converting from standard solid bearings to split roller
bearings. Intrinsic to their design, Split Bearings
offer great downtime savings and longer bearing life,
as a result of this and the ease at which applications
can be converted we have focused on customers problematic
bearing applications or on applications previously thought
split bearings were not suited to.
In today's demanding industrial environment, specialist
technology is, more than ever, key to improved efficiency,
productivity and ultimately profitability. Split Roller
Bearings (SRB), are increasingly seen by end users and
project engineers as a product which conform to these
customer needs. As such many new projects and developments
are specified having split bearings from the design
stage of a new project.
OE Bearings has a data base of 90% of the split bearings
operating in Southern Africa, our standard stock range
we maintain is sizes between 35mm and 300mm including
imperial sizes. This allows us to operate at a 99% stock
availability and in the case of a bearing not being
in stock we endeavour to source the bearing overseas
and will airfreight stock in 2 – 3 days lead-time.
